Brand Film vs Corporate Video: How To Make A Solar Super Factory Brand Film
How SBN Media scripted, shot and edited Avaada Electro's Solar Super Factory brand film in Nagpur, and why manufacturers need more than a corporate video.

Most manufacturers commission a corporate video when they open a new plant. Avaada Electro asked for something different: a brand film. Sixteen By Nine (SBN) Media scripted, shot and edited a brand film for Avaada Electro that highlights India’s first Solar Superfactory.

Here's how corporate video production changes when the goal is to make a brand film:
Key takeaways
A brand film and a corporate video can show the same factory, but they do different jobs. A corporate video explains; a brand film makes the audience believe.
On this project, the voiceover carried emotion and narrative, while every technical fact appeared on screen in supers and infographics.
A comprehensive production plan let a compact crew cover a large, working factory in a two-day shoot.
AI video production showed what the camera could not yet capture: facilities still under construction and the story of solar energy from the sun to the finished module.

India’s First Solar Super Factory
Avaada Electro positions its Butibori facility as India's first Solar Super Factory: a backward-integrated campus built to take solar manufacturing from raw material to finished modules under one roof. This super factory has operational module and cell manufacturing facilities, while facilities for the manufacturing of ingots, wafers, encapsulants, and BESS are expected to become operational in the coming months. All in all, this is a large vertically integrated facility where all components of the solar value chain will be manufactured under one roof.
Avaada Electro’s brand film on this super factory was made for customers, EPC partners, distributors and government officials: the people who buy, specify and approve solar modules.
Brand Film vs Corporate Video: What's the Difference?
A corporate video documents what a company does. A brand film communicates why it matters. Both have a place, and the difference shapes every production decision.
During the scripting process, the core narrative elements of this brand film were focused on:
The scale of India’s first Solar Superfactory
The robotics and advanced machinery on the floor
The factory’s role in India’s push for energy self-reliance
Avaada Electro’s stringent focus on quality control
An inclusive workplace, with a commitment to 51% women’s employment at the Superfactory
Multiple Shoot Days to Comprehensively Cover One Super Factory
With the script locked, we built a comprehensive shot division across nine script sections and mapped it to a two-day shoot schedule. Each shot carried its camera setup, movement, lens, framing and creative intent.
The shooting kit was compact by design: a Sony FX3 with prime lenses, gimbal and tripod, and a 4K drone flying both outside and inside the factory.

Shooting inside an operating plant means working around production. Shot lists were grouped by area, timings were aligned with the plant team, and safety protocols were briefed to every crew member. We also recorded interview bytes with plant leadership, giving the factory a human voice.
AI Video Production for What the Camera Can't Yet Show
Parts of the Super Factory are still being built. The brand film needed to show the full vision, not only what was operating on the shoot day.

Using AI image and video tools like GPT Image 2.0, Google Veo, and Seedance 2.0, we created a visual for the solar value chain, from polysilicon to the finished solar module. Visuals for under-construction stages of the value chain completed the picture. Brand text and signage were composited in post so every logo stayed sharp.
CGI could always create sequences like these, at a significantly higher cost and timeline. AI video production let the brand film show where Avaada Electro is going, alongside where it stands today.
One Shoot, Many Assets
A factory shoot is a significant investment, so we planned it to deliver more than one video. The same footage now supports short clips on the reliability testing lab, quality systems and the assembly line, and a series of vertical videos for social media, each carrying a consistent on-screen identity.
Vertical clips cut from the same Avaada Electro shoot, each built around a single quality message.
What CMOs and Corporate Communications Teams Can Take From This
Decide the Objective Before the Format: If the audience needs to understand a process, make a corporate video. If they need to believe in the company, make a brand film.
Move the Numbers Onto the Screen: Specifications build credibility when they are seen. A voiceover freed from data can tell the story.
Plan AI into the Shoot, Not After It: Deciding early which sequences AI video production will create lets every hour on the factory floor go to what is live and operating.
Shoot Once, Produce Multiple Assets: A shot plan that anticipates short-form edits turns one shoot into months of content.
In manufacturing, the factory is the proof. A brand film turns that proof into a promise people remember.
Whether you need a brand film that makes people believe in your company, a corporate video that explains how you work, or a full content library from a single shoot, Sixteen By Nine (SBN) Media is the right production partner for you.
Our writing team understands the technical detail behind manufacturing processes across industries, from solar and electricals to metals and building materials. Our production crews have filmed inside working plants of every scale, and they know how to capture a running line safely, efficiently and at its best. In post-production, our editors combine traditional craft with AI video production to visualise what the camera can’t reach, from facilities still under construction to processes inside a machine. Before a single shot is planned, we sit down with your marketing and engineering teams to get every technical and brand detail right in the script. The result is a video your engineering team will sign off on, your marketing team will be proud to share, and your audience will remember.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a brand film and a corporate video?
A corporate video explains what a company does, usually with facts and specifications in the voiceover. A brand film communicates why the company matters, with the voiceover carrying emotion and narrative and the facts shown on screen. How long should a manufacturing brand film be?
There is no fixed rule. The Avaada Electro brand film runs more than three minutes, which is long enough to cover the facility and its story, and short enough for events, digital channels and partner meetings. Short clips cut from the same shoot can serve social media. How do you shoot inside a working factory without disrupting production?
With a detailed shot plan built before the crew arrives. Shots are grouped by area, timings are agreed with the plant team, safety protocols are briefed to every crew member, and a compact kit keeps setups quick. Can AI video production show parts of a factory that are still under construction?
Yes. On the Avaada Electro brand film, we created sequences for under-construction stages and big-picture ideas, while live footage covered the operating lines. What else can a single factory shoot produce?
A well-planned shoot can deliver a hero brand film plus short clips on specific processes, quality systems and people, and vertical videos for social media, all from the same footage.
